‘Place’ is a multi-disciplinary centre for the contemporary arts based in Shoreditch, the building is home to a year-round programme of exhibitions, music, dance, literature, art and film. You are asked to design a series of five portrait posters promoting different dance performances happening in Place; the posters will need to visually engage a passing potential audience, and must work as a set/series. By using glow sticks to represent fluid movement that is signified in dance, and applying strong type hierarchy to connect the minimalistic set of posters, the series celebrates dance in a simplistic manner and engages potential audiences’ with unique photography.
